Hyatt Place San Francisco/Downtown

We stayed as a family of five, spending a week in San Francisco late Feb. The facilities were always clean, staff were attentive and friendly, Buffet breakfast as always with Hyatt Place was a winner and over all we were very happy with our choice to stay at Hyatt Place. San Francisco is such a large city and we found that being based on the southern end of 3rd street suited us as we could walk out and around as well as being perfectly located for quick ride share access into the city for shopping and all the usual tourist attractions and similarly we the Hyatt place is a only a short stroll to public transport options for seeing the city. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to San Francisco

The staff was great throughout the hotel. We loved the placement in downtown. There was a restaurant upstairs on the 12th floor that had great food and views. We did walk a few places that were convenient for us. It was very clean and quiet during our stay. Our a/c was not working when we first got there, front desk sent someone up quickly and fixed the problem. Con: When someone from another room closed their door too hard, it would make our wall suck in and push our bed forward. I thought it was going to throw us out the bed a couple times ha.

The breakfast sausage looked a little questionable but everything else tasted great. Enough options for vegetarian, vegan, etc. Definitely needs bacon as an option.

So many things! First, the location was a block from Oracle Park (the purpose of my trip). Second, the hotel was able to accommodate my specific room request (that I did through the Booking.com App). Third, the staff was GREAT. They were very helpful during our odd check-in (past midnight)/check-out (4:45am) times; during breakfast (food was delicious and fully stocked during that time); and even provided me packets of toothpaste when I sheepishly asked because we had run out as this was the last stop on our trip. Finally, our room and the facility was CLEAN. No straggling hairs in bathroom, bed, couch. The mattress was comfortable (not too soft, not lumpy). There were lots of guests and the lobby was clean and orderly, as were the numerous areas available for breakfast seating (inside and outside which included two long fire pits).

Very nice hotel, very nice staff and housekeepers (all of them!!) cool rooftop bar, felt safe in the hotel, right across from oracle park and close to pier which was fun to walk our dogs to. Nice! Love that it’s pet friendly. The breakfast every morning was great and so convenient for us! Parking at the hotel is very expensive, but the staff let us know about public parking right across the street for a lot cheaper which was great.
